In Transit, Part 3.

This morning I took a 6:19 a.m. flight from Phoenix to the Denver airport.

After arriving in the Denver I scouted out what gate I would be departing from roughly three hours later, and then went on the hunt for some coffee and breakfast food. The results of my hunt was an iced coffee and a bagel with cream cheese.

After eating my breakfast I sat down to utilize the Denver airports free wifi. In the end the connection wasn't that great, therefore I wasn't able to blog like I was hoping to.

Anyways, while browsing the inter-web I was surrounded by some interesting characters. First, there was the 15-year-old boy (he might have been older) in guitar hero pajama pants that decided to play Pokemon on his DS with the sound on full blast, while eating a hot dog and pretzel (the whole time I was thinking please don't spill food on my Marc bag). Oh, did I mention that after his meal he was using his finger to pick up the excess food that ended up on his pajama pants and proceeded to eat it! EWWW! Then there was the two middle age men that decided to crowd around me with all of their crap! Let's just say that things got to interesting for me and I had to move to the safe floor by the window, away from everyone.

My second, and last, flight of the date was delayed a bit while they cleaned our cabin. The flight ended up being fairly short, around 30 minutes, but was also the bumpiest of the two. There were quite a few instances where I grabbed on to my arm rest, in fear of falling who knows where.

As of 12:30 p.m. Mountain time I arrived at my current destination, and plan on sharing more about it during Part 4 of my In Transit series.

Time to rest, I've been up since 3:30 a.m. Arizona time and I'm feeling beyond tired.

  2. Once on an 18-hour flight, I was stuck next to a man who had peed his pants. And it was hot on the plane. And he played tic-tac-toe with himself for about four hours AND HE KEPT LOSING. Fellow travelers are interesting, for sure :)

  3. Oh, teenage boys can be the worst. Even Ravi will play his DS at full volume...um, plus in some headphones buddy, or go to a different room, because listening to the same tune over and over and over and over just isn't my thing!

I hope you have an amazing time, this summer! I can't wait to read all about your adventures--and yummy coffee trips!!
