Lunch date at LGO

Yesterday afternoon Scott and I went on a lunch date to one of favorite local spots, La Grande Orange. LGO is a sandwich/salad/soup shop, that just happens to also be a grocer, miniature boutique, bakery, coffee shop, and full-menu restaurant. LGO is located in the cutest neighborhood in Arcadia, and is always busy. Scott and I even had to vale our car because we couldn't find a parking spot (free during lunch!).

It's been a few months since our last trip to LGO, so Scott and I decided to go all out. We each got a serving of green chili mac and cheese, and then Scott got a tuna salad sandwich, and I got a bowl of butternut squash soup.

The seating at LGO is generally terrible, as they aren't many tables inside, and right now it's too hot to sit outside, but fortunately we got really lucky and got a table right next to the window.

Neither Scott, nor I could finish our lunches (the mac and cheese was almost too good to stop eating, even when we were full), but we both really liked what we each had (I don't eat fish, but I decided to try a bite of Scott's tuna fish on top of a piece of apple that was in the sandwich, it just wasn't for me).

It was really nice to get out to this side of town on our Friday Funday (we always try do fun things on Fridays because that is our only full day off, well for me at least, Scott has one class on Fridays), and hope to go back soon.

Have you been out for lunch lately? What's your favorite place to go for lunch? What do you usually get?
