Cornish Pasty

The other day Scott and I made our first visit to Cornish Pasty. This restaurant is known for their "adult hot pockets" and English pub feel.

I don't mean to toot my own horn, but the above picture is probably my most favorite photo of myself. Scott took it while we were waiting for our food to arrive, and I feel it truly shows who I am. Nordic, freckled, and sometimes timid.

The seating in Cornish Pasty was a big scattered, and I know it's hard to see but the seats here are church pews.

The wait time at the restaurant was a bit ridiculous, and I'm not sure if it was because it was lunch time, or if that is how they always are. Luckily I had some good tea to sip on, and a lovely boyfriend to chat with.

Scott and I each got something different, him the traditional bangers and mash, and me the vegetarian greek.

We both really enjoyed our food, and will be going back to try out their delicious sounding soup. This meal was perfect on a very windy, and chilly day, and if you live in the area I would definitely try it out. I know Kelsey of Roo Fresh could vouch for this statement as well, as her and her husband went there the evening before us.

Have you tried a new restaurant out lately? Or is there one that you really want to but just haven't had the time to yet?

Scott and I are always looking for new places to try out in the Phoenix Metropolitan area, so if you have any suggestions please feel free to leave them. Thank you in advance!

We were going to go there the other day, but I read on Yelp that the wait was pretty ridonkulous. I will try it out, though!

I live in New Jersey, so I have no recommendations for you.
But we did try a new place this week in Philadelphia called 'Jacks Firehouse' and we really, really liked it!

cornish on university & hardy is a lot more calm & you can usually get a seat when you walk in. the only difference is the lighting & room. the one on university is really dim & looks like a hallway, but that's what makes it awesome! you also made a great choice! the greek is my favorite! :)

The wait is pretty bad at that one, the last few times I've gone the service hasn't been great, but the food is worth it! Jim and I had our first date at the Hardy location-it is a hallway, but it makes it interesting and fun!

I LOVE the Cornish Pasty. Like a few of your other commenters, I'm only familiar with the one on Uni & Hardy. SO DELICIOUS.

We called ahead to get food from Cornish Pasty. That's my recommendation. That is a great picture! New food places, hmmm. My current favorites are: Luci's Marketplace, The Parlor, Hana Japanese, Torta de los Reyes, El Bravo, JP McGurkees, Pho Thanh...that's what I can think of right now.
