Lately I've been seeing many delicious sounding smoothie recipes popping up in the blogosphere. Well, the other night Scott and I decided to join in (only because we recently pulled our fancy blender out of hiding).

We made these berry smoothies using a few different things I had in my freezer including ice, frozen blueberries, frozen raspberries, a banana, and some applesauce.
The smoothies were delicious, and now I'm hooked. I have plans for trying out this spinach smoothie I've been hearing so much about very soon.
Do you make smoothies? If so, what do you put in them usually?

I got addicted to smoothies when I started living with my current roommate - she's a big health nut.
Here is what we put in our smoothies:
*1/2 cup orange juice
*handful of spinach
*1-2 tablespoons of flax seed
*1/2 cup frozen berries
*1 individual carb master yogurt (any berry flavor tastes good)
*1/2 - 1 banana
Yum yum yum! I love smoothies! You just have to be careful because apparently its easy to go overboard on calories with them. But done right, they are so good!
I love smoothies although I suck at making them so we usually buy the premade kind that you can just blend with ice lol.

I haven't made smoothies in years, thanks for the idea! Perhaps it's time to hunt down my blender...
Ohhh my. I really want to try making smoothies again. I love avocados so I once looked up a recipe for an avocado smoothie and.. that's sort of where my smoothie making fizzled. It was not good. Haha.
But I think I should try and perfect some yummy smoothies in preparation for warmth! I've not even used our blender once!
green smoothies are my favorite. i just throw in a bunch of spinach, kale if i have it on hand, fresh squeezed OJ and almond milk, and frozen mangos. so delicious.
Those smoothies look delicious! My best friend and I are OBSESSED with smoothies. I have to say a regular mango smoothie hits the spot.
Yummmm. I LOVE smoothies. So much. I actually got a peach smoothie this morning at smoothie king, however, my mother-in-law got me a great blender for Christmas so I need to break out the smoothie making book and get started!! Thanks for sharing!

I am loving the "green monster" smoothie! I just finished one, actually. Haha! I've had one every day since I found out about it last Sunday. If you try it, I suggest using vanilla almond milk! So good!
