Cloudy Afternoon

I know I talk about the weather a lot, but geez has it very been temperamental lately. Just the other day it was sunny and warm, and this weekend it was full on down pour. Beforehand it made for some extra pretty weather, full of clouds and chilly moments.

Knit hat: Forever 21; Cardigan: Frenchi; Scarf: Forever 21; Vneck: c/o Five Bamboo; Bambracelet: c/o Five Bamboo; Jeans: Levi's; Boots: Steve Madden

On Friday I spent the afternoon with Scott on the Tempe campus, working on homework while he was in class. Afterward we took a nice stroll through campus on our bicycles. The weather was chilly, and for a minute I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to make the ride back to the truck (I was chilled to the bone from sitting outside while he was in class), but we ended up making it and made a stop on the lawn in front of Old Main along the way.

This outfit is the perfect overcast day look to me. I absolutely love being bundled up on a cloudy day in Arizona. The only thing that would have made it more perfect is if I had a nice hot latte or cappuccino, preferably from Cartel Coffee Lab since I've been craving their coffee lately.

I know it's hard to see, but you can kind of see the gorgeous necklace that my cousin Odessa and her husband Tony gave me for being in their wedding. It is a beautiful heart, and it was so incredibly thoughtful of them to give it to me. I just love them both so much.

The crew over at Five Bamboo, an awesome company out of Seattle, WA, was kind enough to send me this amazing vneck t-shirt made out of Nomo Clean Bamboo. When I received this shirt I was pleasantly surprised at how soft it was compared to a normal cotton t-shirt. It also has great stretch, and was definitely cozy on a chilly day. I really loved reading the tag that came on the shirt that stated the benefits of clean bamboo. Seriously such a cool fiber to make clothing out of, and it's environmentally sustainable too!

They also sent me this sweet bambracelet, along with a few others that I shared with Scott. They are made out of t-shirt scraps and have a few pretty beads on them. I seriously love a good wrap around bracelet!

A big thanks is to due to my guy for taking such pretty pictures and taking care of me when I'm cold. He got a haircut the other day (and more recently shaved his beard), and is looking awfully dapper!

Do you enjoy cloudy days? I always feel like I'm in Seattle when we have them here and I just love it!

That first picture is a framer for sure! When I moved to Phoenix last year, it rained the first two weekends I was down here. I'm originally from the Seattle area and hate the rain, but don't mind it here for some reason.

Cloudy days are my favorite. I'm a winter fan. : ) Just started following your blog, and I'm totally smitten! Love this casual chic look, and those boots make me swoon. There are very Oregonian. You're not from Oregon, are you? You would fit in Seattle or Portland just fine. ; )
