An Afternoon Stroll in Junction

Being away from the big city can be hard on this girl, so I'm very thankful that I often get to visit Grand Junction where I can feel somewhat normal in their downtown area (similar to downtown Mesa, and slightly like downtown Phoenix). I just love walking around, taking in the sights, picking up a coffee and a snack and people watching as I stroll by.

On another note, while looking at that top photo for a minute I realized that my legs look much longer than they actually are. When I met Danielle and Vanessa back in March they both told me that they thought I would be taller. However, I am in fact 5 foot 4 1/2 inches and my torso is much longer than my legs. My family on my mom's side are all very short, and my family on my dad's side are average height/tall. I consider myself to be somewhere in the middle.

The wind was something fierce this day in downtown. I wore my favorite To Write Love On Her Arms shirt while out on a iced coffee/afternoon walk. Back in February I wrote a blog post about how TWLOHA is very near, and dear to my heart. If you haven't check it out yet, or are interested in learning about TWLOHA, I highly suggest checking it out. You can read it right here.

Today I'm hoping to go on a little adventure, read more of "One Day" (my current book of choice), write a few letters, and maybe watch a movie (I'm thinking Garden State or 500 Days of Summer).

What are you up to today? Do you prefer living in a small or big town?

  2. It made me smile to see you wearing your shirt again. I'm really into how you've chosen to style it. In my opinion, that green is a hard one to figure out, but you've done such a great job with it.

    Thanks for supporting. <3

  7. Really really cute! Loving the outfit and the background of these photos! Do you always set up a tripod and use a remote or do you sometimes have your folks take your outfit photos? We registered for a tripod for our wedding, hahaha!
