How is it already the 16th of May? I swear it was just my birthday and the weather was much, much cooler! Since then the temperatures have started to rise and we've officially had our first 100 degree day -- not uncommon around here, but something I was hoping would hold off for a little while longer. The heat has brought us the most gorgeous blooms, though, and recently Scott and I discovered this gorgeous wall of the most unique and bright prink oleanders I've ever seen. Before I headed for New York (more on that later), we stopped by here to take in the sights and smells before these beauties wilt away.
Ever time the summer season rolls around, I feel myself being attracted to brighter colors and lighter clothing. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE chunky layers, scarves, plaids, boots and more, but right now i'm happy to be in shorts sleeves and summery hats. I've actually got my eyes on a few summery pieces to add to my wardrobe, like this hat from Gigi Pip and these Seychelles sandals. Oh, and a few more Everlane linen t-shirts because they're my new favorite! Do you have any summery pieces that you've got your eye on for the season ahead? It's basically summer here already with all of these sunny days and high temps -- just a few more weeks until it's official.
I seriously can't get over how beautiful these flowers were! Their bushes were about 15 feet tall -- all covered with these gorgeous blooms! If you're in Chandler, there's a gorgeous sight to see in downtown behind the old San Marcos Hotel.
Scott always catches me grammin', haha! Tonight we're taking things easy -- dinner at home, a walk with our pups and catching up Southern Charm! What are you up to this evening? Any favorite tv shows you want to share -- I'm going to need a new one when SC wraps up for the season! -- Chelsea xo
