As a summer storm rolled through our side of town this evening, I did my best to soak in what will (hopefully) be the last of monsoon season. September is right around the corner, and I couldn't be looking forward to cooler days, autumn getaways and all of the celebrations the month will bring. In the meantime, I'll be here feeling extra thankful for only 100 degree days, my sweet husband who always, always supports my dreams (including my little corner here, in blogosphere) and an incredible best friend who I get to shower with lots of love this weekend -- she's getting married in October!

This week has been one of those where the days have seem to go by slowly and fast all at once. Scott and I have been spending time relaxing and working at home in the evenings, meeting up with new friends and prepping for Court's shower this weekend! Oh, and watching a few episodes of Gilmore Girls here and there -- we're planning on being fully prepped before the revival airs in November! Any GG fans out there? Raise your hand if you're Team Jess (ok, ok -- and if you're Team Dean or Logan too, haha).

This linen dress was a favorite last summer, and I have no idea why it took me so long to pull it out this season! It has the sweetest, criss-cross cut-out in the back and is super easy to wear (breathable + lightweight). Linen has seem to make a strong come back in the last year, and now I have my eye on a few pieces from Elizabeth Suzann and Pyne and Smith who both rock at making beautiful linen pieces that would transition so well into the autumn and winter seasons. This dress is on my wishlist for fall -- paired with a cozy cardigan and boots, it would make for the perfect date-night look!
